Case in point:

Not in the horny way, but just the general smell of possessiveness, and Sion, despite his better judgement, doesn’t know how to really deal with it. It gets his hackles raised when Daeyoung walks into the room, puts his alpha on edge. But Daeyoung is just as smiley and loving as ever, and hasn’t so much as growled at the older alpha for intruding on his space - despite the damn smell that makes it seem like he wants to eat Sion alive - so Sion is maybe, just maybe, at a loss for what to do.
“He’s learning,” Riku insists, as they lay in their nest. Because he’s soft on the pups as he always is, though no one in their right mind could call an alpha like Daeyoung a pup anymore. “It’ll get better.”
It does not, in fact, get better. It gets worse.
The day after their next promotion season ends, Daeyoung’s rut ends. It’s only his second one ever, and it’s so strong that it stinks up the whole damn dorm. Sion keeps his distance while Riku and Ryo delegate the job of taking care of their baby alpha. Yushi’s nose is too sensitive and Sakuya gets nervous around strong alpha pheromones. And Sion doesn’t want to get his head bitten off.
